VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Children's Christian School would like to be united with its parents as well as the children who attend. As a growing school, we appreciate any help and volunteer time from parents. We encourage all parents to participate in, some way during the school year and would like all parents to  sign up to help at least 2 hours each month during the entire school year. Helping in your child's classroom is essential and first priority, although we do have other areas such as lunchroom and recess duties to mention a few. Being involved in you child's education is important overall. Together we can improve our school, support our children, and provide help for our teachers. If you are available to volunteer on a regular weekly basis, please let us know in order for us to plan accordingly.

If you cannot volunteer at least 2 hours a month, we are requiring that you pay a $20.00 fee with your tuition each month to assist in finding outside help.

CLASSROOM VOLUNTEERS

NEEDED

We need volunteers in our 3rd and 6th grade cassrooms.  If you or someone you know can volunteer a couple of hours a week in these classrooms, please contact Karin Heckathorn at 707-6328 or

Playground Project

Volunteers Needed

This project was postponed due to the weather, but we will be rescheduling.

We are going to install playground equipment on Saturday October 4th at 9:00 am.  We need all the volunteers we can get.  This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute your volunteer hours.

We will need help with the following:

Grass removal

May need sprinkler heads moved.

Picking up bark.

Laying down the bark.

Assembling the playground equipment

Misc.

Can you volunteer for 2 hours once a week?

It is time to think about the service and volunteer opportunities available to us all at Children's Christian School. As part of a small school family, we need our parents help and participation. One of those areas needed is in helping in the school lunchroom. Our new building should provide a more relaxed lunch-time atmosphere for our students. Just as our students need the relaxation of a lunch period, so do our teachers. They deserve at least 30 minutes of "downtime" to relax and enjoy a lunch period. Please help us provide the break our teachers need on a daily basis. Shifts are generally from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM, Monday - Thursday, to help warm lunches, supervise students, and very light cleanup after lunches are over. This is a great way to get to know the children and staff at the school! Please help us fill the calendar and show our wonderful school parental support. It only takes small efforts to accomplish mighty things!
